Sreyroth* is a single parent with three small children aged 12, 10, and 5 years old. Before she used to work at a local factory and her oldest daughter had to stay at home to look after the younger children.

She is now one of the mothers in our Home Based Production program. The program helps poor families develop a steady, safe source of income generation. Mothers and fathers completing a sewing training program are provided with sewing machines to work with from their homes. The products they produce are sold in the Tapang’s Shops and other outlets.

Sreyroth now earns $60-80/month sewing products from her home where she can work flexible hours and is able to be with her youngest child. Her two oldest children are now in a classroom everyday studying at M’Lop Tapang’s Education Center.
