Yesterday our Special Needs team was visiting 9-year-old Buntha* and his family. Buntha lives with his parents and 2 siblings in a small house in a Sihanoukville neighborhood. Buntha also has Cerebral Palsy.

Each week, for the last 5 years, the Special Needs visits Buntha to assess and follow up on his condition, provide physical therapy, and work with his parents on methods they can use to help their son. He is one of 5 children with disabilities that the team visits regularly in the community. There are more than 40 other children with special needs that attend a daily program at our Education Center.

“Before his movements were so bad and stiff. Now there is a lot of improvement with his movement and he can eat better and understand more.” – quote from Buntha’s mother.
